Sign in

• Open www.mydinelog.com on your phone or computer browser.
• Use the email and password you were given.
• If this is your first login with a temporary password, you will be asked to choose your own (at least 6 characters).
• You can change your password later under ⋯ → Yelp & sync.
• Share/Save this to your home screen to save it as a Webapp.

Add a restaurant

• Tap + Add place.
• Type the name. In the name field, Enter runs Lookup (Yelp). Then pick a match. 
• This will save any information about the restaurant including cuisine, address, phone, website.
• Update any fields if needed
• Give it your score from 1–10. That score is yours, not Yelp’s.
• Set how the restaurant accepts reservations: OpenTable, Resy, Tock, TableAgent, website, or call.
• Save.

The list

• Search the box at the top. Sort by your rating, name, date added, or last visit.
• Filter by cuisine. Tap × to clear the filter.
• Each card shows your score, Yelp rating (tap it to open Yelp), last visit, and visit count.
• Maps, Menu / site, Call, and the reservation app open outside DineLog so the home-screen app stays put.
• Reservation buttons run a Google search for that app unless you pasted a booking page on the restaurant.

Visits

• On a restaurant, use Add a visit and pick a date.
• The card shows the most recent date and how many visits you logged.
• Tap × on a date to remove it, then Save.

Sync and backup

• Changes save to the server for your account. ⋯ → Sync from server reloads your list.
• ⋯ → Sync from server reloads from the server if another device changed the list.
• Export JSON downloads a backup. Keep a copy after a big update.

iPhone tips

• Add to Home Screen from Safari, not Chrome, for the full-screen app.
• Use www.mydinelog.com when you add it, so login and sync stay on one address.
• If a page goes blank after an update, close the app from the app switcher and open it again.
